Class A Property Goose Management
A Hartford commercial property with a 10-acre park, golf-course-like turf, and a 3/4-mile walking trail needed flexible goose control when pressure changed.
I have used Nutmeg Farms for geese control at one of my Class A Commercial Properties in Hartford for 3 years. Historically, the geese begin to land at the property in January to feed on the turf. This causes a huge problem for the turf that I am responsible for and creates hazardous conditions for employees that use the park during their lunch breaks and walking to and from the vehicles.
I couldn't be happier with Nutmeg Farms scheduling of the dogs when needed, and the results. We contract on a month to month basis depending on geese pressure. It is amazing and a pleasure to watch the highly trained dogs work!

I highly recommend Nutmeg Farm for pest and goose control. I live in a summer lake community with three small beach areas that were regularly covered in goose droppings. It was disgusting and a health hazard, especially for young children. We were filling two large buckets every day at each beach.
Since we started using Nutmeg Farm about three years ago, we now have clean beaches and a community that helps support their efforts. They have used a variety of deterrence methods, including dogs, high-powered lasers, and exclusion methods. In the spring, they come out to search for nests to help control future goose populations, which can grow exponentially in a short amount of time.
Most of all, we have been educated about how geese behave and what we as a community can do to mitigate their impact. As of the end of May 2026, we have not seen any new babies, and goose activity at the lake is significantly less than in previous years. We cannot thank Nutmeg Farm enough for all their help and for sharing their knowledge with us.
